Who runs the SRVHS Wolf Foundation?
The Foundation is run by a group that consists of five Foundation officers and a board of directors (BOD). Representatives from SRVHS, including the principal and a staff member are on the BOD to ensure coordination between the Foundation’s vision and the priorities of the SRVHS. Because the Wolf Foundation is an affiliate of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation, a representative from that organization is also on the BOD.

How does the mission of the Foundation differ from the Parent Faculty Association and other parent-led booster groups, which also raise money for SRVHS?
The mission of the SRVHS Wolf Foundation is to raise the funds necessary to augment those available from the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, bond measures, parcel taxes and the State of California to provide our students with facilities commensurate with our standard of excellence. In contrast to other campus organizations, our focus is on large-scale capital improvements.

Why can’t the SRVUSD pay for the facility improvements?
Although the SRVHS campus is one of the oldest schools in the Bay Area, because of constraints from both the state budget crisis and the school’s rural zoning designation, we do not receive sufficient funding from the district and the state to upgrade all of the facilities in need of repair or replacement. The vision of the Wolf Foundation is to create a partnership with the community and SRVHS families to raise the funds necessary to augment the funds we do receive.

What about a bond measure to pay for improvements?
Certain projects may ultimately be managed through bond measures, but which projects. In those instances where a project is approved for a bond measure and the bond passes, funds from the Wolf Foundation will be used to further upgrade the facility if deemed necessary by the Foundation.
